Sandy Klose

Bass

Born in Adelaide and now residing in Sydney, Sandy is a renowned producer, electric/double bassist, guitarist, singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and instrumental teacher. She’s released numerous albums and singles under her artist name Sandy Klose.

Her academic journey took her to Berklee College of Music on a scholarship, thanks to grants from the Queens Trust, Musicians Union and the South Australian Department of the Arts. Upon her return to Australia, she was awarded the Young Achiever of the Year (Arts Award).

Sandy has carved out exciting careers in both Adelaide and Sydney. She’s performed, recorded and toured with artists like Wendy Mathews, Steve Clisby, DIG, Janet Seidel and cruised the Pacific in show bands. She also had a six-month jazz/pop residency at Hilton Tokyo.

Sandy’s stage musical experience is diverse, including Menopause the Musical, Wizard of Oz and Grasshoppers Journey. The latter toured Sydney South Korea and Singapore. She also composed and performed live on Warning Art Has Been Known To Stimulate Brain Cells a community TV arts chat show.

Sandy continues to produce compose perform teach and share live performances on Instagram under the handle @sandyklose11. Her latest release TEACUP SESSIONS Volume 1 is out now and available on Bandcamp and streaming services.
